In today’s busy world, it’s sometimes easy to set common sense aside in favor of convenience. There have been a number of senseless acts against children in the last few weeks that have ended in the deaths of many of them. And it makes me wonder, as I read them, why these people didn’t seek help from others in order to avoid doing something stupid like harming their children. Were they embarrassed or did they simply think that these acts were the proper way to respond to what was happening in their life at that time? No matter what their reasons, I can assure you that none were good enough to end the way they did. Unfortunately, the stories are real but I! would like you to promise me that you will stay informed and alert as to what is going on around you. If you are having issues coping with what is going on in your life or if you notice something going on around you with a friend or co-worker that might endanger someone else, then intervene. I shudder to think of anything happening to my children let alone being the one to cause it. It’s unthinkable, unfathomable and inexcusable. Make a difference in the lives of your children and your family by staying committed to being the best father you can be.
