| The Daily Daddy - Expectations and Consistencies |
|
|
When raising children it’s advisable to set expectations from the beginning. It’s a lot of hard work and may seem ridiculous to do but starting as early as possible is really the best bet. It’s also a good idea to remain consistent with things like rewards and punishments, and at all costs, avoid the empty threat. It will not do any good for any party involved and it teaches your children that you expect very little from them and over time they will learn to ignore them altogether. It’s a lot of work to raise a well behaved, smart and respectful child, so keep at it. I swear it will all pay off some day.
