The Daily Daddy - Being Poor Doesn't Have to Mean Your Child Goes Without Print

A recent webmd article noted that socioeconomic status and wealth had no direct relation to the intelligence of a child. It stated that when the parents had been counseled on proper parenting techniques, it didn’t matter whether they had money or not. Their children did better on tests, they read better and had increased IQ’s. As far as I’m concerned, that’s just common sense, but I’m glad to see it in writing. I wish more parents would understand the importance of spending quality time with their children whether it’s reading 15 minutes a day or just talking about their day over dinner at the table. Lets change the world one child at a ! time. Mahalo.
