
 A Different Perspective, hosted by Howard Renensland presents entertaining discussion of current issues from the perspective of people with disabilities. Mr. Renensland, his guests and reporters, all prominent members of the community of people with disabilities, provide this perspective intended for all listeners, not just those with a disability. Bio: Mr. Renensland is CEO and Founder of [with]tv, http://www.with-tv.com, a television channel of, by, and for people with disabilities…and everyone else http://withtv.typepad.com, and of People With disabilities Broadcasting Corporation (PWdBC) a 501 c 3 public charity established to provide career training workshops for people with disabilities in film and television production. Howard has been a professional actor for over thirty years. He has appeared in over 400 television commercials, numerous radio ads, and hundreds of print ads as well. He has appeared on and Off-Broadway, on tour and in Summer Stock, as well as in regional repertory theatre at The Great Lakes Shakespeare Festival, Missouri Repertory Theatre, Cleveland Playhouse and The Dallas Theatre Center. On television he has been seen in Hill Street Blues, The Ted Knight Show, Family Ties, We Got It Maid, Scarecrow and Mrs. King, a number of Daytime Dramas, and in the films Black Beauty, Batteries Not Included, and Friendly Persuasion. He is a member of The Screen Actors Guild, American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, and Actors Equity Association. He earned a BA from Washburn University and an MA from Trinity University in San Antonio, TX. Howard was a Visiting Artist and Associate Professor in Theatre Arts at Kansas University, Clark College, Case Western Reserve University, and Park College. Since the birth of his first child, Victoria, who is a person with disabilities, he has actively advocated for her civil rights and her inclusion in society. He has written and spoken extensively on the issue of inclusion of individuals with disabilities from pre-school through post secondary education. Victoria and Howard were invited by The Circles Network to travel to Great Britain and speak to parents and educators in the UK. Currently he is at work on a memoir of his life with his daughter entitled, Including Victoria. He is a member of the American Association of People With Disabilities. He and his wife, Kathleen, reside in NY and have a second daughter, Olivia. It is his passion and limitless energy that guide the vision of [with]tv, PWdBC, and A Different Perspective. |
