Host Bio:
DAVID STEINMAN, the founder of the Green Patriot movement, is an award-winning environmental journalist and environmental health consumer advocate. He is the author of several books, including "Safe Trip to Eden: Ten Steps to Save the Earth from Global Warming", "Diet for a Poisoned Planet: How to Choose Safe Foods for You and Your Family", and "The Safe Shopper's Bible: A Consumer's Guide to Nontoxic Household Products, Cosmetics, and Food". 
Steinman has testified as an expert on seafood safety before a congressional subcommittee and for the National Academy of Sciences' Institute of Medicine. He also exposed the presence of carcinogens in children's bath products at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. in February, 2007. Steinman has served as Chairman of Citizens for Health and Advisory Board Member for The Green Guide Institute. Steinman's company Freedom Press publishes groundbreaking books on health and the environment as well as the national magazine "The Doctor's Prescription for Healthy Living". Steinman is known for his unique perspective and bold opinions. He is frequently interviewed in the media on environmental sub-topics ranging from transportation to consumer products, health, politics and spirituality.
