Award-winning author, Stephen Hawley Martin, takes up Barack Obama’s challenge to begin a discussion about race when he speaks with Dr. Dolores B. Jones, an African-American pastor of a predominately black church in urban Richmond, Virginia. Dr. Jones speaks of her out of body experience after she was attacked by an intruder and left for dead, of seeing the ghost of her murdered son and of this son’s ghostly appearances to one of his attackers -- which prompted a confession. She also explains her doubts about traditional Christian canon and gives her take on Barack Obama and his controversial ex pastor, Dr. Jeremiah Wright. Martin also asks Dr. Jones how a John McCain - Condoleezza Rice ticket midht be received by the urban black community.
